At the same thickness, its strength is much higher than aluminum foil and copper foil. A: Titanium foil features good plasticity and easy formability, and can be processed by conventional stamping, cold rolling, laser cutting and other processes without special complex equipment. Q4: Will the thickening of the oxide film after long-term use affect electrical conductivity?
A: At room temperature in air, the titanium oxide film stops growing spontaneously once it reaches 5~10 nm, showing a self-limiting characteristic without unlimited thickening. However, in electrochemical environments such as fuel cells, the oxide film may thicken under anodic potential and cause increased contact resistance. In such cases, surface modification such as platinum/gold plating or carbon-based coating is recommended.
